  • "The friendships that Emily and our family have formed over the years are invaluable"

“No Limits Creative Arts has been a great community for Emily, helping her grow and thrive. She joined the program in 2016, when there were limited options for accessible creative activities. Since then, she has found a creative outlet that allows her to have fun and learn.

She has participated in dance, yoga, and voice, and we have seen significant improvements in her speech, physical strength, confidence, and musicality.

The friendships that Emily and our family have formed over the years are invaluable, and we are grateful for all the positive impacts that No Limits Creative Arts has had on our lives. Watching our children grow together brings us immense joy.”

    With gratitude,

    Jenn, Russell, and Emily

  • "The performance opportunities have been incredible!"

“Elise, who is currently 12 years old, started dancing with No Limits when she was 5 years old. Being part of No Limits has been a blessing to Elise, in many ways. It has given her a place to dance, incredible opportunities to be on the stage, has built her confidence, and created special friendships.

Elise loves to dance and the classes she has participated in have been positive and uplifting experiences for her. The performance opportunities have been incredible in front of supportive audiences. These opportunities have built her self confidence and have made it easier for her to try new things.

Ms. Carla is an amazing teacher who is always positive and patient and builds the students up. And the connections Elise has made with her mentors have really meant a lot to her. Overall, the entire experience has been very positive and I am so glad that it has been part of our lives!”

  • "That is when I knew we had found something special."

“In the summer of 2016, I stumbled across the No Limit Creative Arts website. Previously, I had unsuccessfully enrolled Ava in classes through other organizations but never found a class or program that felt right. We signed Ava up for the No Limits cheer class and held my breath as we entered the first class. As expected, Ava ran around the room and was not following the directions of the teacher and mentors. I was mortified with her behavior.

When this occurred in the past, I was embarrassed and went home in tears. But this time it was different. Instead of judging me, the other parents supported me. The teacher and mentors were not fazed by Ava’s behavior. Everyone assured me that everything was fine, this was “normal”, and they had all seen this and been through this.

That is when I knew we had found something special. Over the last eight years, Ava has grown, matured, and has gained so much confidence as she has continued to take classes with No Limits. This has led Ava to venture outside of No Limits for additional opportunities to perform. She has been an ensemble cast member in four, large scale, school plays (with no additional supports), has elected choir as one of her electives at school, and is a member of her school’s Color Guard team.

Both Ava and I have both created and sustained friendships with the students and parent of No Limits. That is one of things that makes No Limits special – the people, the support, the family that that you gain. Thank you No Limits for all of the support that you have given to our family.”

CSUF partnered with No Limits in an effort to design an effective and inclusive program. In this CSUF's Center for Autism has been able to provide peer training and evidence-based instructional support. This partnership has provided faculty and students of CSUF the opportunity to work collaboratively in a community-based high-impact practice.
